For bike shops on Lightspeed Retail (R-Series)
The service-counter toolkit for Lightspeed.
A Chrome extension and a web app that make workorders faster: photos from your phone, QR codes on tags, one-tap statuses and job presets. Add a booking page, status pages, AI Quick Book or Bike Archive data when you want them. Sign up and go: no approval, no sales call.
How it works
- Sign up with your work email and name your shop.
- Connect Lightspeed through Lightspeed's own sign-in.
- Install the extension in Chrome. The free tools show up on your workorders straight away.
Add-ons
AI Quick Book
$30/month
Type the job in a sentence. bike.tools reads the customer's bikes and past workorders, learns how your shop writes tickets, and drafts the customer, bike, workorder and labor lines in Lightspeed for you to check and create.
Status pages
$5/month
A private status page for every workorder: status, estimated ready date, the estimate and lines if you choose, and photos. Copy the link, or print it as a QR code on the tag.
Booking page
$15/month
Online booking at book.bike.tools/your-shop or on your own website. Bookings become Lightspeed workorders, with daily limits, turnaround, reports and the bay board. Includes status pages.
Bike Archive data
$10/month
A bike picker for proper Bike Archive names on every workorder, and the mechanic's bike card with the model's torque specs, derailleur hanger and frame standards, plus bike search on the booking page.
Monthly, billed by Stripe. Turn each one on or off from your shop's Add-ons page; cancel any time. Booking page includes status pages.
Free with your shop
- Photos from your phone Scan a QR code on the workorder and the photos you take land on it.
- QR codes on printed tags Lightspeed's printed tags get a QR code: the shop tag opens the job on a mechanic's phone, the customer's copy opens their status page.
- One-tap statuses Your statuses as buttons on the workorder, in your colours.
- Job presets A tune-up, a brake bleed: labor and parts added in one click.
- Barcode to part Scan a part's barcode with your phone or scanner to add it to the workorder.
- Serial from the camera Read a bike's serial number with your phone into the workorder.
- Customer panel A customer's bikes and recent workorders beside their Lightspeed record.
- Duplicate-customer catch A note when a new customer looks like one you already have.
- Workorder tidy-ups Labor lines that save as you type, bigger notes, and a clearer title.
